First of Many

A few months ago my fiance Andrew and I had our engagement photos taken. At the time of the shoot it was fall, however, we wanted it to look like spring. Somehow, in this crazy Canadian climate the weather gods were on our side and it ended up looking like spring! 

It was difficult to choose just a handful of photos to post, but I was told posting all 100+ would be a bit excessive, so I chose a few of our favorites!
I decided to style the shoot with elements of vintage/whimsical clothing and props while surrounded in a natural and urban setting. I feel like the photographers did a great job capturing who we are as a couple!

ABOUT

Born and raised in Canada with Pakistani routes, I often had the opportunity to see the world through a multicultural looking glass, which led for tonnes of inspiration. Over the years I have developed my career in Education, working with youth from a variety of ages. However, it has often left my creativity on the back burner. I’ve always been a creative spirit designing and creating fashion looks, but, my career choice has often limited my creativity. That’s why I wanted to start this blog. I hope to express and share my dreams and interests with individuals, who, like me, see the world through fashion. 

Why “Something Neon?”

You probably fell upon this site because a) you were lured by an image of an amazing outfit. b) you were googling where to buy neon lights (there not here, go back). c) you were trying to find some fashion inspiration. If you chose A and C then I think this is your place. Welcome! And please keep following! Like most of you reading, I love fashion blogs and have followed many for years. At the same time, I desperately wanted to muster up the courage to develop my own. So, finally, here it is!

I decided to call this blog “Something Neon” because like a neon light pointing you in the right direction, a good piece of clothing can do the same. All it takes is one item of clothing or an accessory to help guide and inspire a whole look. If you’re not sure what I’m talking about than stay tuned and I’ll show you.
